Hospitality operations & systems — UK
One person accountable for the whole stack.
Most restaurants pay for five systems that don't talk to each other — and nobody owns the joins. I look at how you actually run, then design, connect and where needed build the systems around that. One login where it makes sense. Less admin. More time where it matters.
One governing principle: the software fits the operation — never the operation fitting the software.
The quiet bleed
Six systems. Three currencies. One of them won’t tell you at all.
Ask most operators what their software costs and you get a shrug, or the number they remember from whenever they last looked. EPOS, bookings, rota, stock, payroll, accounting — five or six subscriptions renewing quietly, none of them talking to the others.
We tried to answer that question properly for a typical independent, from the suppliers’ own current pages. Two of them quote in pounds. Two quote in euros. One quotes in dollars. One does not publish a price at all.
None of that is hidden, exactly. It is just spread across six websites in three currencies, which is why almost nobody adds it up — and why the number, when you finally have it, is usually not the one you were carrying in your head.
That is where we start. Not by selling you a system: by finding out what you are actually paying across all of it, and what it is actually doing for you.
The paper, the re-keying, the numbers that never match — it doesn't have to run like this.
How I work
Fix the operation before the systems.
I'm David Martins. I've run restaurant operations myself and I build software — one of a small number of people who genuinely do both.
01
I watch a real service — how it actually runs, not how the manual says it should.
02
We fix the operation — the process problems — before any software touches it.
03
Then I design, connect and where needed build what's left.
I've stood where your team stands. The operation shapes the software.
The guarantee
“If the agreed output is not delivered, the fee for that piece of work is refunded. No contracts. No hidden fees. No lock-in.”

Systems that connect. One login where it makes sense. One person who owns the joins.
